Flolux AI & content transparency policy

Our commitment to honest, human-led communication

Effective May 2026

1. Overview

Flolux is an Australian manufacturer of precision-engineered 316L marine-grade stainless steel pool and spa fittings. Since 2010, our reputation has been built on quality, integrity, and a commitment to craftsmanship that improves the finish of luxury pools, spas, and water features worldwide.

That same commitment to quality extends to everything we publish. This policy explains our position on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in creating marketing content for Flolux. It outlines the standards we maintain to ensure that every piece of content we share is accurate, human-reviewed, and useful to our audience.

We believe transparency is not just good practice, it reflects the same design integrity that defines our products.

2. Our position on AI

At Flolux, we take a deliberate, limited, and human-led approach to AI. We do not use AI to generate content wholesale, and we are firmly opposed to the production of low-quality, generic, or factually unreliable content (often referred to as “AI slop”) in any form.

We view AI as a structural aid: a tool that can help organise ideas, suggest content frameworks, and identify logical flow for a given topic. Every Flolux publication is written, verified, and refined by our human team before it reaches you.

✔  We DO use AI to: generate initial outlines and structural drafts for marketing content.

✔  We DO use AI to: identify key themes and information architecture for long-form articles.

✘  We do NOT use AI to: write or publish content without full human review and editing.

✘  We do NOT use AI to: produce product specifications, technical data, or safety information.

✘  We do NOT use AI to: fabricate quotes, testimonials, case studies, or factual claims.

✘  We do NOT use AI to: replace the expertise, judgment, or voice of our human team.

3. Scope of AI use

AI tools may be used in the preparation of the following types of Flolux marketing content:

3.1  Content where AI may assist

  •       Blog articles and industry news published on flolux.com/news
  •       Product category descriptions and buying guides
  •       Email marketing campaigns and newsletters
  •       Social media captions and promotional copy
  •       FAQs and general informational web content

3.2  Content where AI is never used

  •       Technical product specifications, dimensions, and material data
  •       Installation guides and safety compliance documentation
  •       Customer testimonials, case studies, and project references
  •       Warranty documentation and legal notices
  •       Any communication presented as personal correspondence from the Flolux team

Regardless of whether AI tools have been used in any stage of the drafting process, all Flolux content passes through the same human editorial standard before publication.

4. Quality commitment: Zero tolerance for “AI Slop”

The term “AI slop” refers to content that is mass-generated by AI systems with little or no human oversight, characterised by vague generalisations, hollow filler phrases, inaccurate claims, and a distinct absence of genuine expertise or personality.

This is fundamentally at odds with everything Flolux stands for. Our products are chosen by architects, builders, and designers who demand precision and authenticity. Our content must meet the same standard.

We define “AI slop” as content that exhibits any of the following:

  •       Generic, non-specific language that could apply to any industry or product
  •       Factual inaccuracies, unverified statistics, or unsupported claims
  •       Repetitive sentence structures and filler phrases typical of unedited AI output
  •       A voice or tone inconsistent with the Flolux brand
  •       Content published without human review, editing, or approval

If you ever encounter content on our platforms that does not meet this standard, we encourage you to contact us directly. We take all feedback seriously.

5. Regulatory & ethical compliance

This policy has been developed with reference to current and emerging regulatory frameworks and industry best practice standards, including:

  • The EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), which mandates transparency for AI-generated content distributed within or to the European Union
  • Australian Consumer Law (ACL) provisions relating to misleading or deceptive conduct in commercial communications
  • US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidance on AI-generated content and disclosure obligations
  • Google’s Search Quality Rater Guidelines and helpful content standards, which reward genuine, human-first content
  • Industry best practice from leading publishers

Flolux operates globally, supplying products across Australia, South East Asia, Europe, North America, and the MENA region. We recognise that applicable regulations may vary by jurisdiction, and we are committed to meeting or exceeding the most stringent standard relevant to our audience.

Undisclosed AI-generated content may constitute a deceptive practice under applicable consumer protection law. This policy ensures Flolux remains compliant and continues to earn the trust of our clients and partners.

6. Third-party AI tools

Where AI tools are used to support content creation at Flolux, we apply the following principles to govern their use:

  • No confidential customer information, proprietary product data, or sensitive business information is entered into any third-party AI system.
  • AI-generated outputs are treated as a draft starting point only, not as publishable content.
  • Our team critically evaluates all AI output for accuracy, relevance, and brand alignment before it informs any final content.
  • We do not use AI to generate images, photography, or visual assets for Flolux marketing materials without explicit disclosure.

The use of AI tools by Flolux contractors, agency partners, or freelancers producing content on our behalf is subject to the same standards outlined in this policy. Flolux reserves the right to decline publication of any content that does not comply with these requirements.

7. Policy review & updates

The AI landscape is evolving rapidly, and so too is the regulatory environment surrounding it. This policy will be reviewed annually and updated promptly in response to:

  •       New or amended legislation affecting AI-generated content disclosure requirements
  •       Significant changes in the AI tools used by Flolux or its content partners
  •       Updates to search engine guidelines that affect how AI content is treated
  •       Material changes to Flolux’s content strategy or marketing approach

The effective date of this policy is displayed at the top of this document. The most current version will always be available on our website.
